Dr. Sue Ball is the Chief Psychologist at the York Region District School Board. Sue has spoken numerous times at the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Provincial and International Conferences and the Educator’s Institute on supporting students with Learning Disabilities, Resiliency, Anxiety, ADHD and in Mathematics. Sue’s professional work has focused on supporting students with a myriad of learning profiles and needs, including learning disabilities, autism, anxiety, ADHD, resiliency, mental health and well-being, as well as the importance of providing consultation, counseling, assessment and relevant mental health promotion from an identity affirming, culturally responsive and anti-oppressive lens.
Sue is passionate about supporting all learners to understand their unique learning profile of strengths and needs and how to advocate for themselves, with the underlying belief that all students can learn and that every educator and student matters.
