Dr. Kelly Murphy is a registered clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist at Baycrest Health Sciences, an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto, and holds adjunct faculty positions at York University and Queen’s University. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Rotman Research Institute of Baycrest. Her clinical work focuses on assessment and behavioural intervention for older adults at risk of future dementia. Her research involves characterizing memory change in typical and atypical aging and in developing evidence-based approaches to promote cognition and brain health across the cognitive aging continuum. She is the lead developer of the intervention program Learning the Ropes for Living with MCI®, co-inventor of a virtual arts recreation activity called ArtontheBrain, and co-author of a book for the general public and health care professionals called ‘Living with Mild Cognitive Impairment: A guide to maximizing brain health and reducing risk of dementia’.
