                                                    Dr. Annette Lorenz is the current education chair of CAPDA. She has previously served as president and education chair, having served on the board of this organization for many years.
Dr. Lorenz was licensed in 1989 having qualified in the practice of Clinical and Health Psychology, and in Corrections. She has experience in the evaluation of disability in many settings, including in the assessment of criminal risk in the provincial and federal corrections systems, health rehabilitation and personal injury in hospital and private practice settings, first responder and military operational stress prevention and recovery in military and police organizational settings, and recently in COVID related complications in her practice. She served as an expert witness in criminal cases, disability cases in Superior Court, and in Arbitration hearings. Most recently her practice focus has been in the development and implementation of new and innovative protocols for the prevention of the development of trauma and operational stress-related disorders and for treatment resistant cases of mood and anxiety disorders, including trauma and stressor related disorders for First Responders, frontline health care workers, and other populations in need.
